The Fort Wayne Rifle and Revolver Club sponsors the largest Junior High Power shooting team in Indiana.\u00a0 We shoot AR-style rifles (not .22-rimfire; not 3 or 4 position air rifle) in nationally sanctioned competitions at the local, state and national levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are a laid back Team \u2013 we are not grooming the Juniors to\nbe Olympic level competitors \u2013 just to shoot safely and have fun with an\noutstanding group of young people.  Our\nage limits are flexible; we can work with shooters as young as 12-years who are\nable to conduct themselves safely and who have the physical strength to handle\na rifle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our four guidelines are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. \u00a0Shoot safely<\/strong> \u2013 we stress firearms safety and safe firearms handling<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    • \u00a0Show Respect<\/strong> \u2013 FWRR Juniors are recognized for the respect they show coaches,
      sponsors, adults and fellow team mates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      • Try<\/strong> \u2013 we do not demand that a Junior shoot at any particular level.\u00a0 We can
        work with a shooter at any level and we can bring them to just about any level
        at which they wish to shoot – but they have to put forth an effort.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        • Have Fun<\/strong> \u2013 No one of us is making a living by our shooting hobby.\u00a0 We are here to
          have fun \u2013 and if it\u2019s not fun we need to look at why it isn\u2019t fun any longer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          In 2026 \u00a0are starting the season with our seven Juniors from 2025. We can furnish a new shooter with just about everything they need in the way of equipment so there is very little initial investment for a new shooter. There are no initiation or sponsor fees and no membership requirements for the Junior shooter, their parents or sponsor.\u00a0 The only cost is a modest charge for practice ammunition.\u00a0 There are no entry fees for Juniors at local or state matches. We will keep ammo prices at 30-cents a round for Juniors in 2026 even though component prices have gone up.\u00a0 We have a good supply of donated components that helps us keep costs to the Juniors down.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          For matches at the local, state and national level, match grade ammunition is furnished at no cost.<\/p>\n\n\n
