{"id":1450,"date":"2021-04-29T13:02:13","date_gmt":"2021-04-29T13:02:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/?p=1450"},"modified":"2021-04-29T13:02:14","modified_gmt":"2021-04-29T13:02:14","slug":"cmp-games-match-saturday-may-8th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/index.php\/2021\/04\/29\/cmp-games-match-saturday-may-8th\/","title":{"rendered":"CMP Games Match &#8211; Saturday, May 8th"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"550\" src=\"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Garabd.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-990\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Garabd.jpg 800w, https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Garabd-300x206.jpg 300w, https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Garabd-768x528.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It\u2019s Shooting Season again!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This Saturday, May 1, will be the High Power Clinic for new\nshooters.&nbsp; Normally we would shoot a\nGarand Match as part of the Clinic, but after doing this a number of times I\nhave figured out that trying to do both on the same day makes me hurry through\nthe class and skip some things I want to cover \u2013 or run too long with the class\nand then I have to hurry through the match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saturday 8 May, our normal second Saturday Match, will be a\nCMP Games Match this year.&nbsp; It will be\nshot in the Garand Match format; 5-sighters and 30-shots for record at\n200-yards.&nbsp; I am going to reserve the\nfirst two relays for the new shooters who attended the Clinic so we can work\nwith them as they shoot their first match.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Experienced shooters will be squadded on Relays 3 and\nhigher.&nbsp; This is a re-entry match, and as\nusual we will have entry categories for just about any high power rifle you\nwant to shoot.&nbsp; Bring as many rifles as\nyou want to!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Match fees are $20 for FWRR members or members of affiliated\nclubs, $25 for non-members.&nbsp; The first\nre-entry match is a flat $15 for everyone and if you want to shoot a third\nmatch, that will be $10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I strongly suggest that you pre-register for the match so we\ncan assign relays and firing positions in advance.&nbsp; We will be using the Silver Mountain Targets,\nso bring your tablets, smart phones, iPads or whatever for a scoring device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><strong><em>There will be M1 Garands available for loan and M2 Ball ammunition is available for sale at $20 for a 35-round Match pack.\u00a0 Contact <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"mailto:FWRRHPDirector@aol.com\"><strong><em>FWRRHPDirector@aol.com<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em> if you would like to use a loaner Garand for the match.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s Shooting Season again!
