{"id":1610,"date":"2021-10-27T12:04:24","date_gmt":"2021-10-27T12:04:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/?p=1610"},"modified":"2021-10-27T12:04:26","modified_gmt":"2021-10-27T12:04:26","slug":"winter-offhand-tournament-winter-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/index.php\/2021\/10\/27\/winter-offhand-tournament-winter-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Winter Offhand Tournament    &#8211; Winter 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DSCN0466-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1139\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DSCN0466-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DSCN0466-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DSCN0466-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption><strong>Firing Line; Winter Offhand &#8211; March 14, 2020<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0The season runs from November through March, six sessions.\u00a0 We will shoot on the second Saturday morning at 9:00 or whenever we get a full relay of 10 shooters.\u00a0 Registration will open about 8:30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Course of fire will be 40 Offhand shots for record,\nfired at 100-yards on the SR target.&nbsp; We\nwill use paper targets.&nbsp; The first string\nof fire will be 22 shots, with the high 20 taken as shots for record.&nbsp; The second string of 20-shots will not have\nany sighters (you already had 22). &nbsp;You\nwill need a spotting scope \u2013 if you don\u2019t have one, there will probably be one\navailable to borrow,<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>&nbsp;Scores\nwill be the best four scores shot during the season.&nbsp; Most people will miss one session for\nwhatever reason and we generally have one session cancelled because of weather.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>I will divide shooters into two divisions for\nscoring purposes.&nbsp; Division 1 will be the\nHigh Masters, Masters and Expert shooters, kind of like Alabama, Georgia and\nOhio State.&nbsp; Division 2 (like Ferris\nState, Valdosta State and West Georgia) will be Sharpshooters, Marksmen and any\nUnclassified shooters who may shoot with us.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Juniors may shoot in the award pool if they pay\nmatch fees, or they can shoot for fun and shoot for free.&nbsp; Juniors must declare their intentions at the\nfirst match, so no late entries.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The award pool will be 50% of the total match\nfees paid.&nbsp; Each Division splits up half\nof the award pool.&nbsp; Division winner takes\nhalf the Division pot, second place gets one-third and third place takes\none-sixth.
