{"id":1710,"date":"2022-03-13T18:59:13","date_gmt":"2022-03-13T18:59:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/?p=1710"},"modified":"2022-03-13T18:59:13","modified_gmt":"2022-03-13T18:59:13","slug":"winter-offhand-match-march-2022-and-season-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/index.php\/2022\/03\/13\/winter-offhand-match-march-2022-and-season-results\/","title":{"rendered":"Winter Offhand Match &#8211; March 2022 and Season                                                       Results"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The 2021 \u2013 2022 Winter Offhand season ended up with a Bang and a Brrrr.&nbsp; Seven shooters showed up for what was arguably as cold and bitter a day as we had all winter.&nbsp; It was somewhere in the neighborhood of 17 or 19 degrees, a 10 \u2013 15 mph wind from about 2 o\u2019clock in the shooters faces and intermittent sunshine and blinding lake effect snow squalls through the morning.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"947\" height=\"410\" src=\"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Snowy-Cases.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1713\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Snowy-Cases.jpg 947w, https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Snowy-Cases-300x130.jpg 300w, https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Snowy-Cases-768x333.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 947px) 100vw, 947px\" \/><figcaption><strong><em>How hard was it snowing?  It was blowing so hard that we had to dig cases out of the snow! <\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Watery eyes, runny noses and cold fingers were the order of the day, but we adapted, improvised and overcame.&nbsp; Of the group, no one said they should have stayed home \u2013 so it was a good day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"817\" height=\"513\" src=\"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Mia.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1711\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Mia.jpg 817w, https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Mia-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Mia-768x482.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 817px) 100vw, 817px\" \/><figcaption><strong><em>Carhartts, gloves, warm wooly cap and a handkerchief for runny eyes and nose.  Not a bad offhand position either&#8230;<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Notably, three of the seven shooters were the Junior girls.&nbsp; They put on their dad\u2019s bibs, their Carhartts, their wooly caps and their warm boots (well most of them put on warm boots..) and they went about the task of shooting.&nbsp; According to one of these delicate little flowers; &nbsp;\u201dReal women just bundle up and go on with business.\u201d&nbsp; Good work Ladies!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Girls-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1712\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Girls-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Girls-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Girls-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Girls.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption><em><strong>What a giggle of girls!  This promises to be one great season.<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Considering\nthe weather, scores were pretty good, as usual. Mike and Mark abandoned us for warmer\nclimates, they were at Malabar in Florida shooting the Orange Blossom Tournament\nthis week.
