Saturday, January 14th was the first Winter Offhand of 2023 and we turned over a fresh page for the New Year.\u00a0 For a change \u2013 the weather was on our side.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t snowing like it did for the matches in November and December.\u00a0 It was beautiful (well at least for mid-January).\u00a0 The sun was shining, there was almost no wind and at 29-degrees \u2013 it felt almost balmy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, a note from the High Power Director \u2013 the High Power shooters spoil me.\u00a0 Match time was 9:00.\u00a0 I arrived about 7:55 to open up – \u00a0and the gate was already open.\u00a0 I wandered down to the clubhouse.\u00a0 The lights were on, someone had the heat running and the guys were already downrange taking down target frames and setting number boards.\u00a0 By 8:30 the first relay was full with 12 shooters and we had four more shooters for the second relay \u2013 16 shooters in all \u2013 more than we have had in a long time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh, by the-way, Mark Richard sent his regrets, but he was in Florida this weekend.\u00a0 He claimed that the weather was warm and he walking on the beach and sitting in the spa.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
