FWRR Club Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nnext meeting of the Fort Wayne Rifle and Revolver Club will be held on\nMonday, August 5, 2024<\/strong>.  Meeting Place: VFW Post 857, located\nat 2202 West Main Street in Fort Wayne.  Meeting Time: 7:00 p.m.  Meeting\nAgenda:  Standard meeting format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please\nmake an effort to attend meetings, as a quorum is required to conduct club\nbusiness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maintenance Activities and Facility\nImprovements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

High\nwinds caused a cottonwood tree at the south end of the 100 yard covered firing\nline to be blown over.   Minor damage was done to the building\u2019s\nsheet metal and gutters.   Thanks go to Tom Fortman and Jim Sweeney\nfor their repair and cleanup efforts..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work\nto install the new range status signaling system was completed in late\nJune.  Instructions for the use of the system have been posted.  This\neffort was led by Larry Beardsley.  Jim Sweeney installed the conduit;\nMichael Grannis and Greg McClure assisted Larry with the installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A\nbattery charger was purchased and is stored in the cabinet that is accessible\nto the mowing crew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mowing Schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2024 Mowing Schedule is available on the club\u2019s website at https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/index.php\/2024\/07\/22\/range-mowing-schedule .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Efforts will be made to provide mowing date and time updates on the website.\u00a0 The Main Range is closed during mowing and other range maintenance activities.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pistol\nBays 4 and 5 remain open during mowing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\nis recommended that members check the website for updates<\/strong> before\ntraveling to the range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mowing\ndates that are scheduled to occur before the October meeting are: 7\/24, 8\/7,\n8\/21, 9\/4, 9\/18 and 10\/2. Dates are tentative, depending on weather and\nground conditions.   Mowing times vary according to volunteer\navailability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Driving Off Road<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\nis no longer permissible<\/strong> for any member to drive off road to\nthe 100 yard target frames. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soil\nconditions permitting, it is permissible to drive on the grass downrange (west)\nof the 100 yard firing mound on the 300 yard range to access the 200 yard\ntarget frames. (Do not drive across the 100 yard firing mound.) <\/strong>It\nis permissible to park and drive on the grass in other areas, soil conditions\npermitting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Operations Note<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users\nof the Club Cadet mower are asked to remember to remove the key from the\nmower\u2019s ignition switch after use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discipline Reports<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ACPDL (Allen County Practical Defense League)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ACPDL\nmatches will be held on 8\/3. 9\/7, and 10\/5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only\nACPDL members are permitted to shoot.  The pre-match meeting begins at\n9:00 a.m. and shooting commences at 9:30 a.m.  Matches are typically\nfinished by 12:00 noon.  Observers and those persons interested in\nbecoming ACPDL members are welcome.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

USPSA (United States Practical Shooting\nAssociation)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nfollowing USPSA matches and practice sessions will be held in the\nAugust-September timeframe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matches:\n8\/18 and 9\/15. Match start time is 9:00 a.m.  Practice Sessions: 8\/1, 9\/5\nand 10\/3. Practice session start time is 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

High-power (HP)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nfollowing matches and practice sessions will be held in the July-September\ntimeframe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
