{"id":2687,"date":"2024-10-30T17:52:57","date_gmt":"2024-10-30T17:52:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/?p=2687"},"modified":"2024-10-30T17:52:58","modified_gmt":"2024-10-30T17:52:58","slug":"stand-alone-silver-mountain-target-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fwrrclub.org\/index.php\/2024\/10\/30\/stand-alone-silver-mountain-target-system\/","title":{"rendered":"Stand Alone Silver Mountain Target System"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>At the October meeting of the FWRR, it was voted to purchase\nthree Silver Mountain Target systems.&nbsp; This\nhas been done.&nbsp; Two of these systems are\nthe server based systems we use for formal matches and one system is a \u201cStand Alone\u201d\nsystem of the type often used by individual shooters for practice sessions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Stand Alone system was purchased because a number of\nmembers who do not regularly shoot in formal high power matches indicated their\ndesire to have access to an electronic target system to make practice sessions\nmore productive; knowing exactly where shots impact on a shot by shot basis without\nhaving to walk down 100, 200 or 300 yards (then back) in a shooting session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This system does require some instruction in its use.&nbsp; Like the match system, it can be used with a\nsmart phone, iPad, most tablets or just about any device you can use to access\nthe internet.&nbsp; It is not a hard system to\nlearn how to use, but even with our match system \u2013 having five years of\nexperience with it \u2013 we are still finding \u201coh-by-the-ways\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am proposing to have at least one training session for folks who are interested in using this system (I will do more if the interest is there).
