2024 High Power Match Programs

When I registered our 2024 matches with the NRA and CMP, I had to submit match programs to each organization. Here are the three match programs; I have tried to be consistent to the extent possible, but if anyone finds errors or inconsistencies, don’t hesitate to let me know.:

2024 NRA 50/80 Matches

Anticipated Competitors:  15 per Match

Open To:      Any individual who has not been convicted of any Federal or State felony or violation of Section 922 of title 18 United States Code and who is not a member of any organization that advocates the violent overthrow of the United States Government.    All competitors must complete or have on file an FWRR Release of Liability form.  NRA membership not required

Entry Fee:    $20 members of FWRR and affiliated clubs; $25 non-members.                                     

Ammunition:  Any safe ammunition permitted – No tracers or incendiary rounds.             

Time:             Registration opens 90 minutes before match and closes at thirty minutes before match.  First shot – promptly at time noted.  There will be no lunch break, no food available at range.

Courses of   Competitors may fire either a 50-round National Match Course or Fire:              80-round Regional Match Course.

Rules:            Current NRA High Power Rules

Targets:        The matches will be shot on Silver Mountain electronic targets. 

                        Competitors are required to provide their own display device (tablet, IPhone, IPad) or similar device.  It is the competitor’s responsibility to be familiar with their device and how to log in to the FWRR Range Server.  Competitors are responsible for having enough battery capacity in their devices to support the operating time required for a match, approximately 4 hours.

                        If, in the judgment of the Range Officer, a competitor is shooting in a manner that endangers the range equipment, that competitor will be withdrawn from the match and their match fees will not be refunded.

Open To:  CMP membership not required.  All competitors must complete a CMP Affidavit and Liability Release Agreement and Junior competitors must complete a CMP Parent Consent Form.

Time:  Registration opens at 6:30 AM and closes at 7:30 AM.  First shot – promptly at 8:00 A.M.  No food available on site.

Pre-Registration:  Pre-registrations are encouraged – register at FWRRHPDirector@aol.com.  Walk-in registrations will be accepted up to a range capacity of 28 competitors. 

Course of Fire:  CMP Cup 80-Round Match.  The 600-yard stage will be fired at 300-yards on the MR-63 reduced target.

Rules:   2024 CMP High Power CMP Cup Rules will apply.  This is a Service Rifle and Match Rifle match.   Classification of shooters shall be per Rule 3.11.6 – 3.11.8.

Targets:  The matches will be shot on Silver Mountain Electronic Targets.  Competitors are required to provide their own display device (Tablet, iPhone, iPad) or similar device.  Competitors are responsible for having enough battery capacity in their devices to support the operating time required for a match.

If, in the judgment of the Range Officer, a competitor is shooting in a manner that endangers the range equipment, that competitor will be withdrawn from the match and their match fees refunded.

Match Structure:  CMP Cup 80-Round Match

Match 1– 200 yards, slow fire, standing; 2 sighters and 20 shots for record, 22 minutes

Match 2 – 200 yards, rapid fire, sitting; 2 sighters and 2 strings of 20 shots for record, 63 seconds per string of fire

Match 3 – 300 yards, rapid fire, prone; 2 sighters and 2 strings of 20 shots for record, 73 seconds per string of fire

Match 4 – Simulated 600 yards, slow fire, prone; 2 sighters and 20 shots for record, 22 minutes

Match 5–Aggregate score of Matches 1-4.

Awards:   Awards will be made for Service and Match rifle categories as well as shooter classification.

Classification Winners:  Classifications will be combined until a minimum of three Competitors are represented in each Classification.

For shooters who register only for the GSM Match, the entry fee will be $20.00 for members of Fort Wayne Rifle and Revolver Club, non-members $25.00; payable at Statistics Office on Match day.  Cash or checks only please; no credit cards can be processed. 

 Ammunition:  Any safe ammunition permitted – No tracers or incendiary rounds.          

Time:  Registration opens at 11:30 AM and closes at 12:00 PM  First shot will follow when all shooters have been squadded.

Lunch:  Lunch will be available prior to the match as part of the Junior Match at a cost of $10.00.  Lunch reservations are required.

Course of Fire:  As-Issued Military Rifle Match; Course A (30-Round Match)

Stage 1:  Slow fire prone.  Up to five sighters and 10 shots for record in 15 minutes.

Stage 2:  Rapid fire prone:  Prone from standing.  10 shots for record in a time of 80 seconds.

Stage 3:  Offhand:  10 shots for record in a time period of 10 minutes
